NQH-Ⅱ Light Floating Fireproof  Deck Covering

 

1．Product Property

This covering has a character of good fire resistance and floatability. Because of its elastic separation with steel plates, the covering can reduce structure noises and vibration effectively. It has good effects on sound insulation and heat insulation, and it is suitable for covering of class A-60 fire decks in marine machinery space, accommodation spaces and control spaces.

5．Application Condition

All the cables, pipes, and embedded parts installations in the cabins are to be finished beforehand.

Impurities such as Iron, rusts and paints on the primary steel plates are to be removed meanwhile the surface preparation is carried out according to the requirements of CB3230 Grade P2 or ISO8501-1.1988 st2.

Anti-rust paint is to be applied to the decks for 1 to 2 coats.

 

6．Blending Ratio and Method

Blend ratio of the face covering: one barrel setting promoting powder matching with one pack stuffing aggregate. Add about 7-8kg clean water.

Method of preparation: feed the setting promoting powder and the stuffing aggregate into the agitator and stir evenly, add water in proportion as 7-8kg for each set, add promoting liquid and keep stirring when the materials are moisturized. The covering is ready when the mixture is in the state like thick mud.

 

7． Application Procedure

Ceramic fiber separating strips are to be laid out around the steel bulkheads.

Consequently lay out the ceramic fiber plates closely on the steel decks. The seams between plates are not allowed.

The ceramic fiber plates are to be covered with plastic waterproof film; the overlaps of the film are not less than 100mm.

The steel meshes are to be fixed over the waterproof film, the overlaps of the foils are not less than 100mm, and the overlaps of the meshes should not exceed 3 layers and be fastened with galvanized iron wires.

Pour the mixed face covering onto the steel meshes, trim and consolidate the coverings with a ruler while lifting the meshes about 5 to 10mm higher, then consolidate and level the covering flush to the thickness of 30mm.

Cut away the separating strips with a knife when the covering has solidified sufficiently, fill the vacancy with sealing adhesives.

 

8． Attention

In construction, the stirred covering should be completed in 40 minutes. If stirred manually, it should be stirred evenly.

The water amount in the component blending ratio of covering is given under ambient temperature, this amount can be adjusted according to the actual thickness of the mixtures as the temperature and the application methods vary.

In the whole maintenance and application period, the environmental temperature may be a range 5℃ -30℃, lowering the temperature if the temperature is higher than 30℃ or heat preservation measure is to be taken if the temperature is lower than 5℃ .

When the covering is hardened, it should be kept for maintenance for 2 to 3 days with spray of water or maintaining agent on its surface.

All materials are to be stored free from sunlight, rain dip and under the specified temperature. The quality assurance period of the covering is 4 months.

The sealing adhesive and the ceramic fiber separating strips to be used in the structure model are not to be supplied by our company.
