NQ-ⅡSuper Light Primary Deck Covering has a character of soundly elastic, non-toxic, irritant odorless, vibration-resisting, impact-resisting, waterproof and erosion-resisting, so it is suitable for covering of decks of navel vessels and other ships.

5．Application Condition

The steel deck plates fairing is to be carried out by hot working. All the installations and welding that may interfere with the application of covering are to be finished beforehand.

Impurities on primary steel plates are to be removed meanwhilethe surface preparation is carried out according to the requirements of CB3230 Grade P2 or ISO8501-1.1988 st2.

 

6．Blending Ratio and Method

One pack of the setting promoting powder and one bag of the stuffing aggregate match with one barrel of the latex. First, mix the setting promoting powder and the stuffing aggregate to stir in the agitator, while stirring, add the Latex. The covering is ready for application when it is even mixed into mushy pasty cement.

 

7． Application Procedure

 Pour the mixed covering onto the steel decks, rub the covering back and forth with a trowel to moisture the decks sufficiently with the promoter, then striking off the covering to the specified thickness with a ruler. Consolidate the covering with a trowel after 10-20 minutes and level the covering surface. If the surface is a bit too hard for leveling, spray some latex and then level it.

 

8． Attention

Stirring is to be applied at a speed not exceeding 100r/min and should be lasting 3- 5 minutes. The covering is not proper to stirred with a high-speed agitator. If it is stirred manually, it should be stirred evenly.

The component blending ratio of NQ-Ⅱcovering is given under ambient temperature, a suitable amount clean tap-water with latex may be added into the mixtures according to fluidity of the covering with the temperature rising and different stirring manner.

When the covering has hardened, it should be kept for maintenance for 2 to 3 days with spray of water or maintaining agent on its surface.

In the whole maintenance and application period, the environmental temperature may be a range 5℃ -30℃, lowering the temperature if the temperature is higher than 30℃ or heat preservation measure is to be taken if the temperature is lower than 5℃.

All materials are to be stored free from sunlight, rain dip and under the specified temperature. The quality assurance period of the covering is 4 months.
