NQH-ＩLight Fireproof  Deck Covering has a character of soundly fire-resisting, impact-resisting and impervious. It can insulate noises and heat conduction effectively, so that it is suitable for fire decks of accommodations, machine spaces, and control cabin and for other class A-60 damp cabins.

5．Application Condition

The steel deck plates fairing is to be carried out by hot working. All the installations and welding that may interfere with the application of covering are to be finished beforehand.

Impurities such as Iron, rusts and paints on the primary steel plates are to be removed meanwhile the surface preparation is carried out according to the requirements of CB3230 Grade P2 or ISO8501-1.1988 st2.

 

6．Blending Ratio and Method

Inorganic adhesive must be stirred evenly with an agitator when the barrel is opened.

Blend ratio of light fireproof deck covering: one barrel promoting liquid matching with one pack setting promoting powder and one bag light aggregate. Add about 10-12kg clean water.

Method of preparation: feed the light aggregate and the setting promoting powder into the agitator and stir evenly, add water in proportion as 10-12kg for each set, add promoting liquid and keep stirring when the materials are moisturized. The covering is ready when the mixture is in the state like thick mud.

 

7． Application Procedure

Coat the mixed inorganic adhesive onto the clean steel decks. The coating thickness is about 0.5mm thick.

The light fireproof deck coverings should not be applied until the touch time (about 30minutes) of painted inorganic adhesives is off.

Pour the covering onto the painted decks, leveling, consolidating and trimming it with a towel; ensure the covering thickness to be not less than 40mm.

Eliminate the flow marks and flow seams with a towel to make the surface flush. Generally, a cabin should be accomplished with covering from the inner side to the doorway.

 

8． Attention

Needle-shaped steel fibers are supplied in light aggregate, labor safety measures are to be taken to prevent holding the mixed covering with bare hand.

The water amount in the component blending ratio of NQH-Ｉcovering is given under ambient temperature, this amount can be adjust according to the actual thickness of the mixtures as the temperature and the application methods vary.

The application of mixed covering should be finished within 30 minutes. If the covering is stirred by manually, it should be stirred evenly.

When the covering hardened, it should be kept for maintenance for 2 to 3 days with spray of water or maintaining agent on its surface.

In the whole maintenance and application period, the environmental temperature may be a range 5℃ -30℃, lowering the temperature if the temperature is higher than 30℃ or heat preservation measure is to be taken if the temperature is lower than 5℃ .

All materials are to be stored free from sunlight, rain dip and under the specified temperature. The quality assurance period of the covering is 4 months.
